I need to add text area in Screen and save the data through se51

Try function module : CATSXT_SIMPLE_TEXT_EDITOR

HR_CALL_TEXTEDITOR

You can get the added text as return parameter.

give the program name and scree name

get in to layout

there u can find text field button......

that will help u............

if you want an editable one, change the height of the field.
