hi

can anyone tell me procedure to translate selection texts from english to italian.

i am going to se38 and the goto--->translation

and i am giving italian text and saved it.

but it is not showing italian text.

You need to activate the Text changes.

As we don't have any option in the Translation screen to activate that, you need to make little change in the text element which is in english to activate it.

i had activated it

it does not help me

can u give me full procedure if u did it previously.

As suggested above try SE63 and complete the translations (or even SE38 Translations). And if you want to make sure some text appears then follow as below

Write : 'Default program'(000).

000 is the text element and consider you have maintained it in English as 000 - 'English program' and also translated it in Italian as 'Italian program'.

Now when you logon in English it will display English Program. If you logon in Italian it will display Italian Program. If you logon in any other language it will display Default program.

Just curious - have you logged in Italian Language to test the translations?

Try Via SE63. Translation->Short Text->ABAP--->Program Text.

I hope you haven't re-logged-in into the target language(Itallic) after translating it.

Login again into the target language and check it out.
