Text element is language dependent?

Hi expert!,

I know text element is language dependent. suppose i have a text element develop in english language. later on when the report was opened in german language should that text elemment changed to german?

Yeah it needs to be translated and stored for German.

Hi,

If you are using ECC6.0, you can do transalation by simply clicking text-elements and in the menu go to translation.Then provide the source and target language.

My question was should that text element automatically transferd to german language or user has to maintained it in german ?

Yes, absolutely you need to maintain the text element in German language also.

Hi Mithilesh,

it will not reflect in another language automatically...

User needs to maintain that in another language as well.. (eg. German Japanish etc etc..)

For each language you have to do translation for that text element... Go To--> Translation

If Language DE is not available in the system then use SMLT transaction and insert the language..

If you don't have authorization then you should ask the permission of BASIS for it...
