tcode VF04 is not comming.

Dear Experts,

     I was trying to create a variant for vf04, but I think I've done some mistakes for which the entire tcode is not coming. I was trying put some default value on some field by using variant. But from SHD0 it was not possible then I've created a variant and used it in tcode from SE93. After that VF04 is not coming.

Try closing SAP and launch it again.

Otherwise, this is how you save a variant for future use.

     I think u did not get my requirement properly. I've already done all these things on DEV Server, and also used that variant for tcode VF04 using SE93. Since then VF04 is not appearing. For your better understanding let me show u the state of VF04 in DEV and QAS serever. Check that in DEV Server Program, Selection Screen these fields r missing.

Are you getting any message when you are trying to open the VF04.?

Try testing VF04 in SHD0 tcode.

     If I'm trying to open the tcode no message is coming, and if I'm tyring to open it from SHD0 then message is coming like -

'Variants are possible only for dialog transactions'

Pls try opening VF04 from other user login and check , if he able to open the tcode then reset your SAP GUI settings to default.

It happens to every users, check the screen shots I've attached that showing the actual problem.

As much I came to know that the tcode VF04 is calling the tcode itself instead of calling a program.

Hi,

i think there is an own code in the Report. Look into SDBILLDL line 342.

The save-button has the code SAMD. Look also in SE41 of Status SELK.

Hi,

it Looks a little bit strage.

I have tested what Feenaz Bhaukaurally has mentioned and

i have no Problems and i think this way Shell be correct.

In our Systems in tstc are the same values for VF04.

You show above first (DEV SHD0) Variant Transaction and second (QAS SE93) Report Transaktion. Did you try SE93 in DEV?

Do you have a third System like PROD and what are the reaction of VF04?

     2. If I'm trying to open it from SHD0 then message is coming like -

Hi.

Did you try to delete everything that you did on SHD0???, Because you changed the setup of the tcode by SHD0. Once you delete all variants that you create (check all tabs on SHD0), then the system will come back normal as QAS and PRD.

     What I got is unfortunately the standard variant for VF04 is also deleted. That's why I can't do anything from SHD0. Also the sate of the tcode is changed in SE93 as I given the screen shots earlier.

please advise what to do now?
