Table/view maintenance

hi i had created a table,and i had done the table maintenance genarator also.now my problem is when i goto sm30 i need f4 help for the fields of my table.and other thing is if logon lang is german im not able to get the header in sm30.plz help me out.fullpoints are awarded.

Hi Danny,

two solutions:

first, use an external key for your field

second, you can play with "value range" in the domain of the data element.

You have to convert your table desciption, go to SE63.

Hi Danny,

If you have used standard data elements for creating the fields in the table, then you would have got the F4 helps directly.

Check if you have created the entries based on standard data elements..

Hi,

for the language problem....gto se11 and choose the menu option GOTO --> Translation and maintain the description in German ..

for attaching a search help to the screen...goto se80, change the screen element and attach the search help to it. this will be lost if by any chance the table maintenance is regenrated...

Create Data elements,and Domains for the Fields which are there in Ztable.

SO that You can see the Fieldnames in Sm30.

Create your own search helps for the fields if they are

not standard one's...

s i had maintained the language,but here i had created a table with fields mandt,vbund with data element as vbund and check table is t880,and another field is text with data element is name_1 but it is not having any check table.

the way i had done for vbund is, i click the key symbol on the top,there i got a window with check table(t880),i pressed copy,now it working as i wants,now how abt text.plz help me out

Hi danny,

For whatever texts(Like header for the table) you want to translate, you should go to se63 and do the translation for the texts.

create mandt,VBUND give domain of vbund,for text create some domain if it is not having any check table leave

and create search help and add them to the fields that created.

if you want to maintain for the texts you can do two ways, you can specify the values ranges in domain or specify the check table in domain level using value table.

If you have fixed values for the text you can go to the value range tab in the Domain and can maintain the values in domain
