Table maitenance Search not working

Hi all,

I have created a Table maitenance Generator for a ZTABLE which has 7 fields out of which 4 are key fields.

When i try to run a search (Ctrl+F) i am getting a hit only when i specify all the 4 values !!

Where am i going wrong?

Hi Shawn,

Search is based on the order of the primary key fields of the table.

Search wont point to a record, if you mention a value in the second field of the primary key fields without mentioning a value for the first primary key field.

For search to work, the primary key fields (in the search dialog) need to be populated in the order they are exist in the table.

Does CTRL+F work in table maintenance ?

I think we use "position" button to search the records, where u have to provide the key fields to search a record.

But you can search by individual key fields also by Menu

Selection Criteria -> By Contents

Select the required field and then provide the search value.

Shawn,

Do not try with the Normal CTRL+F . Try using the menu path Selection-> By Contents -> then select the fields based on which you want to try a search & give thwm values & hit enter.

This would give the exact results you are looking for.
