Hi Suresh,
Tcode for Table Maintenance View is SM30.
Using this transaction, we can add/change/delete records in a table.
Though we can code and use a program to add/change/delete a recorld in a table, it is very easy to use this transaction to do the same job with less efforts.
But we need to have the authorization to use this transaction.
Hope this helps.
Please reward if this is useful.
Thanks,
Srinivasa
WHAT IS THE USE OF TABLE MAINTENANCE VIEW?
2007 Apr 11 4:36 PM
generally, user doesnot have access to SE11...so they can't create table entries...
when u maintain a table maintenance view, users can go to SE30 and specify the name and can add/delete/modify the table entries...

It is one way of providing the user an option to update the data in a databse table.

Hi Suresh,
Table Maintenance view is mainly used to provide the user an option to update the table.
With table maintenance, if you include date and time, that can be updated automatically, whenever the user changes the existing record or adds any new record.
This will be useful for their future reference too.
Hope this will be useful for you.
Thanks and Regards,
Archana
