Table maintenance

Hi all,

1.Q Any body please tell me to how to do table maintenance.? I have tried in SE11 change -> utilities->table maintenance Generator. then after what should i give? wht authorization group should be given? wht is maintence sceen no? what is maintence type? single step and double step?.

2Q. Threre is one ztable in which tere are certain fields. Though BDC i hv inserted some data but mistakntly some error data is inserted in the ztable. The field is date colum in which some chars have been inserted . The table is maintence allowd and i want to delete the inserted records in SM30 but the problem is it not deleting the records in primary key. And also giving some error as ' Enter date in format ',,----' but not giveing the option to enther nor del the reocrd. How can i deltete the entries? wht shd i do?

its very urgent to me... pleasee help me..

Hi!

1. For no authorization give &NC&, else give an authority object. Theres a button on the toolbar to give the first unused screen number, use that. If you are ready go to SM30 transaction to maintain the entries.

2. There's some hidden stuff in SAP, you migh try out this one:

- go to transaction SE16N

- enter your table name

- give the following transaction code (within SE16N): &SAP_EDIT

- run the required selections

- modify the bad entries

- save

Hi!

Hi

follow below steps

1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under

attributes tab

2) utilities-table maintanance Generator->

create function group and assign it under

function group input box.

also assign authorization group default &NC& .

3)

select standard recording routine radio in table

table mainitainence generator to move table

contents to quality and production by assigning

it to request.

4) select maintaience type as single step.

5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers

this dialog box appears when you click on create

button

6) save and activate table

One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator

Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.

Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.

Hi

select the perticular row which you want to delete then click on delete it will delete that rows with out any problem

hi naresh,

I hv selected particular row and deleted but it is giving the same error as 'enter valid date format '''----' ' The primary keys values are stucked up and the values in primary keys are not deleting .
