Hi all,
I have created a table in se11. After activating the table I followed the navigation : utilities - > table maintenance generator and created that . No I went to sm30 and want to creat new entries, but when in sm30 after entering the table name if I say maintain I am going to a screeen but when I say new entries it is coming out of sm 30 and saying No entries were found when importing data from the data base.

Also I tried to create entries uisng se11 saying table contents and create entries , it gives me the same message .
Can anyone please explain me why does it gives me a problem ? Is there anuthing associsted with the authorization group I am specifying ?
Regards,
Varun.

Are there any events created for this table maintenance? If so check whether this is message is raised in this event.
Also check if you have used an existing function group, try to give new FG and test.

hi
good
i hope there would be some error while you create the table in the se11, try to check it out .Its also depend upon the process that you have followed to develop the report,top-down or bottom-up.
i dont think if you have create a table perfectly in se11 than there should not be any problem in sm30
thanks

As fas as I remenber this happens when you create tables not client-specific. If the first (index) field of the table is MANDT for the client, I think your problem is solved.

Hi,
Manohar,
No events are there .
Mrutyunjaya ,
I am 100% confident that the table definition is correct .
I have no idea about the report you are talking about .
The problem is solved . I will tell you waht I did.
Utilities -> table maintenance generator . In this screen, in the tab
dialog data transport details : I have selected No selection for compare flag.
It worked and I am able to see the contents in sm30 and in Se16.
Can anyone expain me what exactly is the functionality of this compare flag ?
Regards,
Varun.
