Hi,

I have created a Ztable and maintained all field labels for the data elements. Table maintenance generator is also created for it.

When I maintain the table in SM30 the field labels a shown as '+'.

What can be the reason.

Thanx

You may get this problem if you use built in types for your fields instead of custom or

standard data elements.Use the data elements and regenarate your table mainteanance.

If you get this problem with data elements as well then check you have maintained field labels or not.

Hi Rajiv,

Did you craete table mainataince on databse table or

on maintenance view?

I think u creted directly on table by using UTILITY ....>TABLE MAINATENCE GENERATOR.

After generating maintenence u might hav emainataiuned field labels for fields so it is not reflecting in SM30.

For this u have to delete the table maintenence genertor and regenerate it again. then Field lables will apapear in SM30.

Toavoid this we ll create Maintenece view for that table and will generate maintenece on the view. So what ever changes u made in databse table it will reflect in maintenece view.No need to regenerate it again for any changes.

Pravin

Hi,

Field labels have not been maintained. Maintain labels in data elements. If you have not used data elements, open the table in SE11, open the table maintenance generator screen, click on Environment->modification->Maintenance Screens. Choose the correct maintenance screen and the screen painter will be opened. Click on Goto->Layout and in this screen painter, you can edit the labels, width etc., of your screen. Save and you are done.

It can be changed by going to the layout of the TMG program and changing the table heading.

But when we maintain field labes it used to be reflected
