Table Maintenance Generator Position Push Button Issue

Hi  Team,

    This is regarding the table maintenance generator position push button issue for one of  the primary key search which is not working properly.

As per requirement, we have created two fields as  primary keys. However ever we are selecting the value from F4 option and it is not taking to the correct place. The field I am facing the issue as text field which is 15 characters length.

Can any one let me know the exact issue on above mentioned?

Hi.

Try to clarify. You can't put a value in a field key of your Ztable from SM30 cause field is too large or the value from F4help selection does not appear in the field ?

Try to put an image if you want.

Hi Roberto,

   Thanks for your quick response. I am able to select the F4 value for the particular key field and the concerned value is showing in the text field.

Eg: I am searching for the text 'AAA' which is already available the record in my table maintenance generator.However rather showing the 'AAA' the search is always taking me to the first record of the text field value in the table.

Well now I understand a little better. It seems your search help does not recognize your input.

What type of search help is assigned to your key-field? Is it a custom search-help? How's defined?

In that case, if custom, Please show me a description from SE11 of your search help.

IN case of standard search help, well try adding an asterisk at the end.

Hi Roberto,

   I am not using any search help for  my customizing table fields. The F4 values will show the possible entries based on my entries creating in the TMG.

JFYI for my first primary key field searching properly based on my inputs using from the position push button. However the second text key field is not filtering properly based on the entries selecting from the F4 option.

I think you need create a search help for this key.

F4 values only show if you have one. Check this link.

   Thanks for reply. However the F4 values are popup when we use the position push button available in TMG. My query is that how it will helpful though if create a search help for the particular field.
