Table maintenance generator Column Description

Hi,

I have added the table without defining the data elements for table columns. Besides, i have used the table maintenance generator to create the maintenance program. Finally, I found that the column description was not shown in the table header. How can i resolve this problem??

Hi,

If you want to have field labels, you must create a data element for this field. Enter the name of your "Z" data element on that line and double click it. System will ask if you want to create it, say yes.

or

Delete the table maintenance and re-create once again.

You have to create your own data element.

Hi,

Just go the table maintenance generator, double click on the screen number, that leads you to the screen painter, in the element attributes, under text I/O template you can provide the description for the screen fields in text column.
