Table Maintenance genarator

I created table maintenance genarator for my ztable.

utiities -> Table maintenance genarator.

when i am viewing in sm30 transaction all field descriptions are showing + sign.

how can i view field descriptions.

after creating table maintenance genarator what are the steps we are required to take in sm30 transaction.

pls suggest me...

hi Venkat,

Edit the "Field Labels" in Data Element to all fields and activate it

Hi Venkat,

While creating fields,create data elements and maintain long field label.delete the older table maintenace and regenerate it.You can see the field label in sm30.

or else go to the table maintenace generator screen.double click on the screen number.go to element list tab and then select text i/o templates.there you will see + in text or i/o field.remove it put the description intext or i/o field.

Hi Venkat,

The plus sign in the maintainance generator indicates that, u have not entered field label while creating a data element for a field.

Go back to your ztable, double click on the data element of individual fields, there u have tab by name field label. U give some meaningful description for the respective fields for all the 4 lines. Then save and activate. Follow the same procedure for all the fields, then activate the table.

Now try table maintenance generator, u will not get + sign.

i created table with different fields.

kunnr - char

name - char

targetmonthcore - char

targetmonthtotal -quan

targetyearcore - char

targetyeartotal -quan

rebate - curr

month - char

year - char.

above fields i have created table maintenance genaratore

when i executing in sm30 transaction only char fields are displaying.

datatype quan and curr are not displaying ..

whats the problem..
