Hi prax,
1. Function group? - Which i have to give? I have create or what?
Yes create a new empty function group via se80.
Then just specify its name here.
2. Then Authoritization Object
In the screen of maintenance generator,
Environment -
> authorisation-----> authorisation groups
(From there u can create a new one)

Hi Prax,
Give the following values while creating the table maintenance generator:
<b>1.Authorization Group:</b> &NC&--If you don't want to keep any authorization;else if you want to have any other authorization;consult your basis guys.
<b>2. Function Group:</b> Keep the same name as the Table Name. You can use some other name as well. But accepted practice is to use the Table Name.
<b>3. Maintenance Screen:</b> keep it as one step/two step.
<b>4. Recording Routine:</b> No or user recording routine.
Regards,
Chetan.
PS:Reward points if this helps.

Hi,
table generator will check duplicate entries as any
other table .
table maintanance Generator is used to manually
input values using transaction sm30
follow below steps
1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under
attributes tab
2) utilities-table maintanance Generator->
create function group and assign it under
function group input box.
also assign authorization group default &NC& .
3)
select standard recording routine radio in table
table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning
it to request.
4) select maintaience type as single step.
5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers
this dialog box appears when you click on create
button
6) save and activate table
using sm30 you can create entries manually.
also check below thread to assign transaction code to
table generator
create transaction use se93
select parameter transaction and give below attributes
Transaction code ZTX1
Transaction text Maintain View ZSDCZTVIEW
Transaction SM30 Screen 0
From module pool
Name of screen field Value
VIEWNAME ZSDCZTVIEW
UPDATE X
IN Table view u can give ur table name and for function group give any name eg: table name itself
give default authorization object &NC&
-CHARITHA.

Hello Prax,
'BNKA' is a standard table, in the sense SAP generated table. Such tables are not open for modifications. In any case if they have to be modified, we need an 'ACCESS KEY', which is issued by the company.
The procedure which you are following to create a table maintanence generator is correct but you are applying it on a wrong table. Please try the same procedure on a 'Z' or a 'Y' (i.e user created) table and you will successfully be creating one.
Hope this helps you,
Regards,
Vijaya.
