hi

BDC is normally used to upload the data into the respective tables using SAP screens.

in some screens, we have to upload the data through table control (for example transaction code VA01 for sales order). in such cases we have to upload the data through the table control using a different technique.

not only VA01, there are many other t-codes which has table control and we need to upload the data from that screen. for all such types of screens, BDC table control method is used.

thx

thank u Pavan,

but in the FS will they give that there is a table control to use or we need to find ourself.

actually i heard table control concept comes into picture only when we need to upload the data separately for header data and line item data.

regards,

malleswari.

hi malleswari,

what you heard is correct.

in the FS normally, we have the transaction code.

if the transaction code for which we perform the BDC contains table control, then we have to follow the method of tablecontrol BDC. if it doesnt contain, we can go for normal BDC.

and regarding the header and items, normally a header may contain many items and the items should be specified in table control. and in some cases, we have some t-codes which doesnt have header/item differences. it just contains table control.

you can check VA01, VA02, VF01 tcodes for table control items...

thanks

pavan
