hi,

Generally in Support projects work comes in the form of tickets. each problem will be referred by a Ticket. All the tickets information will be maintained either in Remedy database or Lotusnotes etc. Here information like who raised this ticket, who is the resolver, date of creation, ticket's priority whether it is high or medium or low, specification etc. entire information will be maintained here. once the object is completed then respective ticket will be updated with status 'completed'.

hope this information is useful to you.

thanks,
