suitable segment and field

Hi all,

I am developing an interface for orders. i have managed the segments and fields except for tax classification . its header data - billing (vbak-taxk1). could somebody suggest me how to populate this field please.

Hi Kiran,

i am unable to figure out any segment. may be you need to extend and fill it via user exits.

Tax classification is a very SAP specific field/value that external EDI systems will not understand. That is why it is not there on the IDOC Type. Now if you are doing ALE into another SAP system, this value will be automatically determined by the system based on config values of customer and material tax classifications.

Why do you need this field on the IDOC?

im doing interface from external system into sap.. i am not posting material tax classifications and so its not posting in alt tax calssification field in the header data ( billing). i need to post in tax classification field as well.. is there any way that i can do it..

ive never worked on user exits. if it have to use userexits to post that field. could u please let me know how i can do it.

hi kiran,

i think you are talking about ORDERS05, just confirm it.

so that we can check any exits available . and for extending you can use WE30/WE31.

and but filling the data can be done using exits only,

i will check it and let you know..

in this FM <b>IDOC_INPUT_ORDERS</b> search for <b>customer-function</b>. you can find the exits related.

i have searched for the customer functions and could find customer function 002.. couldnt come to a conclusin yet...

Hi,

it can be done in two ways , one is user-exit or you can copy/create new FM and attach it to the IDOC.

where ever that taxclassification data is present you can use that exit.
