Store UTILMD Message type and EDIT

Hi ,

I need to create some Ztables to store the message type details in INBOUND and OUTBOUND IDOCS send from XI to SAP r/3 and R/3 to XI.(UTILMD,MSCONS,CNTL,APERAK).Is it ok to create tables with the same structure of EDIDC and EDID4 or i need to choose another way.I need to show the Message details on screen for modification.help me.
