Stop ALE

Hi All,

I have a requirement where an ALE is being established for WBS elements between R/3 4.7 and ECC 6.0 systems. Now since the WBS elements are distributed to ECC 6.0. We are not able to edit the WBS elements in R/3 4.7.

We have to stop the ALE so that we can edit the required WBS elements and then again we have to restart the ALE.

Everytime we are in a position to delete the message type in the distribution model (BD64) to stop the ALE for WBS elements.

Is there a way to stop the ALE without deleting the message type added in the BD64 distribution model.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Ramesh

Instead of stopping you can use packet size or some other option and can send only some elements at a time.

Try this... this will be better than stopping it and re-running

Hi,

Please go to partner profile (transaction WE20).

Select the corresponding partner profile for a given message type and go to classification tab then set the partner status to 'I' (Inactive). Once done, please save the changes.

This flag will stop the generation of IDoc and ALE process. To restart the ALE process, you need to set the partner status to 'A' (Active) and again save the changes.

Hope this will help.

Hi Ferry,

Thanks for the reply.

In our scenario we are distributing cost center, profit center, HR master , WBS element master data. It has been included in a single node in BD64.But, we need to stop only the WBS element ALE.

If i choose the partner status to 'I' (Inactive) in WE20 will it stop the entire ALE or only the WBS element ALE.

Ramesh
