STMS usage

Can anybody tell me what is STMS and how is it used?

Hi,

STMS is Sap Transport Management System.

Basically we used this tcode for transport or import requests from one client to another client.

In real time we develop objects in DEV, then basis people will transport requests to QAS by using STMS. Then from QAS to PRD by using STMS.

Yes, U need to have authorization. In general basis people will do that.
