Start workflow with transaction code

HI!

Is it possible to start a process in SAP Business Workflow (BWF) by a transaction code?

I would like start a process with parameters ( initiation)

How can I do this?

Hi

What exactly you mean by starting the WF with a Tcode?

Yes it is possible,

for example when you create a PO with ME21N a WF will be started and intimated to a user

or when a Vendor data is changed using XD02 you can trigger a WF and intimate a user.

so like this you can trigger a wF with a tcode

Workflow automates the steps and activities in a business process according to predefined procedures and rules.

Workflow presents information and documents to the appropriate knowledge worker or agent (another entity such as a program) to make a decision or perform an activity.

Workflow tracks each and every step in the process flow and maintains an ongoing status.

Workflow also collects and reports all of the metrics associated with the execution and completion of the process.

Hi Anji,

I have created a process in Business Workflow. I want to start this specific workflow by a Tcode. How can i do this? Its because i want to start the process out of Guided Procedures. From there i can access to R/3 with Tcodes. So i would like to continue the process in Business Workflow. Therefore i have to transfer parameters of the process.

try in this way.

first create a program in SE38 .

use FM SWW_WI_START_SIMPLE -> this is used to trigger a workflow via program.

then try to create a tcode in SE93 for tht program.
