Best way to get some default values is a customer creation using a reference customer. Than existing sales area can be selected via F4 (if it should be forgotten).
In case you have only one sales channel, also defaults on user level can be given with set/get parameters (System->User data->Own data) for VKO, VTW, SPA.
My problem is that i want to change a deafult value which is also set if you create a customer. this value isn't saved on user level it's a global setting. but can't find where you can change this default value.
Now I'm sure, I can't follow you any longer. Which default value? OK, if you would know this, you would have your solution probably.
Are you talking about entry screen of transaction XD01, fields RF02D-VKORG, -VTWEG, -SPART? Or maybe RF02D-REF_VKORG, -REF_VTWEG, -REF_SPART? They are all defaulted by GET-parameters. Parameter-IDs are VKO, VTW, SPA, RVK, RVT, RSP. This is user dependend and dynamic (no customizing).
The field I'm talking about is KNVV-ANTLF. You can find it with the transcation XD01 in the view "Sales Data Area"->Tab Shipping. If you you create a new customer, this value is always set to 9. I want to set it to the default value INITIAL.
For this field it's best to use a reference customer for creation. In SPRO -> Logistics - General -> Business Partner -> Customers -> Control can be done some settings, but a direct default maintenance is not contained (as far as I know).
Take also field KNVV-KZTLF (e.g. value 'C') into account.
Just as I said: in customizing is no default value definition.
Vijay's transaction is for definition of sales area - your original question was a little bit misleading, so don't wonder if some answers don't match what you <i>wanted</i> to ask. We start come completely without background information and have to guess a lot.
Default values are maintained in customer master data of a reference customer (which is a normal customer, used as copy reference in next XD01).
I wrote an OSS-Message to SAP. This value is a SAP-Standard and can only be modified if you modify some standard-programs.
Our "olution" if the users are creating some customers, they have to delete this value, otherwise we have some problems if there is a 10th partial delivery.
