I need have company logo in my smartform.
The logo files I have received are in *.jpg format.
If I convert it into tif or bmp the file size increases dramatically.. I am using Microsoft Photo Editor..
My requirement is to send smartform output as a pdf attachment.
The file size increases from 25kb to 235kb.. I have to keep the file size low.
Is there a way to convert jpg to tif format without increasing the file size.
Rgds,
Samir.

Hi Samir,
You can see a good many jpg to tif converters at:
tucows.com and experiment with minimizing conversion sizes.
This website has a free trial: http://www.solidconvertergx.com/convert_jpg.htm

Change the DPI to 300 or lower when you save the TIF file in Photo Editor, that will reduce the size of the file.
There should be a button on the save as screen (prbably called "more" or "advanced") where you can specify the DPI.
Additionally saving it as grayscale instead of color also helps!
