smartform to PDF conversion using PDF!

Hello Experts,

my scenarios is ,

On smart form print preview, when we do PDF! we get PDF view of the form. My form is developed with chinese font CNSONG.

so, when i do print preview i dont have any problem with font. But on the same screen when i do PDF! for PDF view i am having junk characters in the PDF view.

problem junk characters on PDF!.

CNSONG is already maintianed in system fonts.

Please help.

Try passing device type as 'CNSAPWIN' in the  control parameters and use CNSONG font for chinese chracters.

Hi Jayant,

You can not see the fonts after you use "PDF!" may be because there is no fonts package in your local PC. (It may be already in Server)

1.Try to click "Save As" to save the PDF file to you computer after you use "PDF!".

2.Open the saved PDF file to check whether the fonts will be ok.

3.if the fonts is not ok, the ADOBE software will suggest you to download something in a pop-up window, follow it, will see the normal fonts.

Hi Jayant,

There are 2 types of pdf distribution workflow.One which contains the font embedded into it and another without.In the first case you will be able to view the contents since the fonts are embedded into it and in second case the you will not be able to see the original characters and junk characters instead if your local system doesn't have that font installed . Please make sure that your local system got he Chinese font installed in it.Please refer the following document for more details
