Smartform printing issue

Hi,

I have developed a smartform that prints fine when choosing the printer LOCL. If I choose the same printer but with it's real SAP name, the smartform does not print correctly at all - it is not lined up and prints ten more pages (many blank) than it does when using the LOCL printer.

Please can you let me know how to resolve this problem? I have a feeling I'll have to change some settings in SPAD but I am not sure how/what to change.

Hi Kate,

I think like you, the problem is in the SPAD. But it's the job of the administrator. Maybe your administrator have choose a bad configuration option of the printer, or choose a bad printer driver.

When you use print preview does your print is clean ? And when you transform your print spool in PDF, how does it look ?

Hi Frédéric,

The print previews for both are as they appear when they print out... ie: for LOCL it is correct, when using the same printer as LOCL but with it's correct name it is all out of line.

I think it must be the printer settings, but I don't want to ask basis to change them as there are lots of other sapscripts/smartforms that print on these fine.

For Checking purpose you used locl, it is fine..

I think they might use other printer to do the job

it is not a problem at all..

Other SmartForms print well ... strange.

Do you compare the properties of an old smartform and your Smartform ?

Hi,

When u r printing wih LOCL then it is printing the current contents but when you are putting up with SAP probably it is taking the spool.

Basis will Configure the Printer settings,

Might be that Printer is not for Printing the Smart forms(not ordinary or some settings needs to be done)

You Conatct the BASIS.
