Hi,
I have a requirement to Archive a Smartform which is faxed to a customer. We have run into some issues where in customer reports non-receipt of the document though it was faxed. Since SAPConnect does not store data for more than 8 days we do not have any proof of the document being sent. Our approach is to Archive this document (or Image) which can be viewed later if needed.
We are on ECC 6.0. What are the steps to be done in SAP to Archive smartform.
For testing purpose
1.I created a new document type in OAC2 as ZARCHIVE with doc class as PDF.
2.I created a new entry in OAC3 with Object = VBAK, Doc type = ZARCHIVE, Cont Rep ID = A2 (Custom) and retention as 180.
3.I tried to archive Order Confirmation via message control using storage mode
as 'Print & Archive' and set document type as ZARCHIVE.
I dont see anything happening when output is triggerred expect the print.
If I set up the printer as ARCH then I get a update error saying 'No formats set up for ARCHIXOS'
Am I missing something here?
Secondly,
Does SAP have a standard archiving object for SOST entries?

Hi Chennakiran,
In customizing content Repository A2 please configure output device as ARCH then you will not get error when you set printer.
There is no standard archiving object for SOST.
-Thanks,
