What might be the reasons that i am not able to debug a particular process from SM50 transaction?

how ur trying to debug the process, is it through menu options or /h?

Check if there is any associate program, if not it wont go into debugging.

If you are debugging a Background process, then go to SM37 and select the appropriate finished job and type JDBG in the transaction code area and click on ENTER.
