Hi All.
I have an issue in the sm35.
I created a session ,while processing I selected the session and clicked on process.it has given a pop up screen .asking for fore/back ground.those things are ok.
but the additional functions like Extended mode,Expert mode........
Can any body help me to get the documentation for this additional functions.
Exatly my requirement is, if in my session 10 transcations are there,if error occurs on 4 th transcation then
1. I want to terminate the session with out processing the remaining.(i.e from 5th to 10 th)
2.up to 3 rd transcation I want to roll back with out posting too.
Thanks in advance,
regards,

Hi
Do you process 10 transactions in asingle session in real scenario?
I don't imagine..
See the doc:
Extended log for batch input processing
EXPERT MODE
Activate expert mode in interactive batch input
Expert mode only works in interactive batch input.
You can activate it when processing a batch input session, or with the function:
System->Services->Batch Input->Expert mode
Expert mode deactivates Error Message 344, i.e. you can branch from batch input without constantly being told 'Batch input data not available for this screen'.
Set standard size of dynpros before session processing
The interactive batch input generally only runs with screens that are
present in their standard characteristics.
Increasing or decreasing the size of the screen, either before or during processing, can cause errors.
The additional function 'Standard screen size' resets the screen to its
standard size during processing.
Checkbox: Cancel if Log Error Occurs During Batch Input
The system stopped processing the batch input session after the current transaction caused an error, using the addition function Cancel if Log Error Occurs.
You can change the value of this indicator using the SAP profile parameter bdc/protocol/errorforceend'.
Reward points if useful

hi,
1. better use call transaction than creating bdc
so you can terminate your processing
2. <b>not possible</b> or you must do all checks and validations in your own program (in a simulation of your transaction)

use bdcmsgcoll strucure in call transaction ,if msgtype is E,then use exit command.
2.up to 3 rd transcation I want to roll back with out posting too.
This is not possible

Hello Venkat,
I have simple solution since roll back is not possible.
assume that you have data at Internal table
start-of-selection.
loop at i_data. " i_data is the file data.
here you have bdcdata.
call transaction tcode using bdcdata
mode 'N'
messages into i_bdcmsg . " i_bdcmsg is BDCMSGCOLL
loop at i_bdcmsg.
select single * t100 into t100
where with i_bdcmsg.
if you see msgtype is 'E'.
exit. " it will go end-of-selection and displays log data ,here you will find out how many records updated, based on that you can remove those records in input file.
else
i_log-field = i_data-field.
i_log-text = 'message from t100 table'.
endloop
endloop.
endloop.
end-of-selection.
here you diplaying or downloading log data.
