selection conditions in views(data dictionary)

Hi all,

I need to set a selection condition in the views.

The scenario is like this....

Need to check MARA-DATAB (Valid-From Date) less than the current date.

wat should be specified in the comparative value...(current date)???

I have tried keeping sy-datum....but it is giving type conflict error.

Helpful info will be rewarded.
