select into table at diffrent version of ECC .

hi expert :

  i have a problem in my task .

  when upgrade ecc from 4.6 to 6.0 . i found  select into table was sorted by automatically .

  even i not change any code of my program and DB technical parameter . 

  but  i want get same result of 4.6  environment .

plz give me some solution ....

There is no concept of "sorting" of database tables in a relational database. If your previous implementation relied on a particular order when the data was read, then it was already in error.

You must explicitly use ABAP (or ORDER BY) to sort your data.

If you didn't define the internal table yourself, check how it is defined - it may be a SORTED table.

Jin,

During the SAP Upgrade, some code changes are mandatory. 4.6 may not have unicode unlike ECC 6.0. Moreover, table fields are changed and in many tables the primary key are also changed. This will change the indexes too, which may have affected your case.

I would suggest you to check both the tables in 4.6 and in ECC and check if  there are any key changes. According you check the values that you are getting in the internal table after selection for both the systems. If the number of records are same, then you will have to change the way you read the records. This will help you in re-coding some part of the code, not whole. You can also use SAMT transaction to check if the code requires changes or not.
