Select from table IHPA

Hi All

I am trying to get a particular record from IHPA table where i am giving the OBJNR number, PARVW and KUNNR as customer no. , But I am not getting any record but if i will give OBJNR and PARVW it will generate a record with having same KUNNR value.

Example :

case 1st :-

when i am passing following values in IHPA table, it is not generating any record

OBJNR = IE000000000010070910

PRAVW = BP

PARNR = 620000562

case 2nd:-

But if i will pass

OBJNR = IE000000000010070910

PRAVW = BP

it will generate a record?(one row) which will include PARNR as same 620000562 along with other value.

Q1 - Why it's not generating in case 1st,

Q2 - How i will resolve this issue ? as i have to link some table as EQUI ---- IHPA ----- VCKUN

I have written a code for this to join :

SELECT A~EQUNR

B~PARVW

C~CCNUM

D~CCNUM

FROM EQUI AS A JOIN IHPA AS B ON A~OBJNR = B~OBJNR

INNER JOIN VCKUN AS C ON B~PARNR = C~KUNNR

INNER JOIN VCNUM AS D ON C~CCNUM = D~CCNUM

APPENDING CORRESPONDING FIELDS OF TABLE IT_OBSO

WHERE A~EQUNR IN S_EQN.

AND PARVW = 'BP'.

But it is not generating any record but when i am commenting the PARVW i am getting the mixed record of PARVW as (BP,SP,SH)

Let me know if any more clarification required.

Check conversion exit for PARW (CONVERSION_EXIT_PARVW_INPUT) and PARNR, actually use conversion exit for KUNNR (CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT) in a 10 characters length field and then move its value to PARNR (so left adjusted).

Transaction SE16. I go to table IHPA and search with PARNR = 620000562, it still doesn't return any result but if I do PARNR = 620000562* it does come with the required record. For interest sake, what could be the cause to this?

Please note the "*" at the end of the PARNR provided

In SE16 check with both 2 entries:

PARNR =  620000562* and

PARNR = *620000562

Are you getting same results ? Please dont say yes

When you input a trailing '*' input is no longer only numeric so conversion exit ALPHA don't change the input, also it become a pattern

• 620000562     -> I EQ 000620000562
• 620000562*    -> I CP 620000562*

Actually it goes like below

0620000562*

*620000562

Then I get same result.

The first option I need the 0 in front

Second option, No need for the preceding 0

It worked when I applied * before the customer number, like *123456. Thanks for the suggestions.
