Select blanc value for a drop down list in batch input

i'm doing a batch input. I have a dynpro with a drop down list. Which value i have to use to set the blanc value?

If you want to pass blank value, why bother recording that element? If you donot pass any values it will be blank.

The drop down list has a value 'XX'. If i don't pass any value it remains 'XX'. I tried to assign value ' ' and space but didn't work.
