Search Help Symbol Problem......

Hi,

I created a SEARCH HELP in SE11. And I assigned this search help to a field in ZTable.

The Search help functionality is working when I Pressed F4 in input field.

**But the SYMBOL is not getting displayed.

Any suggestions please.....

where is the input field?

on a custom screen....on a selection screen...or on the table entries screen?

what was the status of the previous post regarding this?

"Where" exactly is the "symbol" not being displayed. In a selection screen of a custom program, in a dynpro, in SE16? I have had this problem in the past. I don't know exactly what I did to fix it, but eventually it appeared.

Hi,

Actually the Symbol should get in SE16 and as well as when the Field is defined in SELECTION-SCREEN of a custom program.

I am not getting in both.

Any suggestions please...

And regarding the earlier post regarding the same issue the problem is not solved.

Yes, I've had this exact problem before. First try activating the search help, then the data element, then the table. Then go to SE14, and do an adjust on the table. If that doesn't work, try closing all sessions and signing back on. Does it work now?

in selection screen...define field like this...

parameters : p_field type <table>-<field>

the search help symbol should come...

Hi Deepak,

You have to generate your selection screen once to see the F4 symbol..

Just comment any thing in your custom program selection criteria..save and activate

and then uncomment it.. save and activate..

Actually try activating your program once (change any thing SAVE and ACTIVATE)..

In SE16 initial screen, Use Menu.. Table->Generate Program and then go and check whether F4 symbol appears..

Also it appears you have multiple posts open for this..

please keep the relevant ones open and close others.

Just as a test, create a new "Z" program which has this field on the selection screen. Does it appear now?

you do onething copy some standard search help into z* and made changes as per your requirement

Are you speaking about the symbols that appears on the field when it's displayed ?

It's a module pool?

I met with similar problem. I inserted to my program command:

at selection-screen on value-request for <field>.

Activated program, symbol appeared. Deleted the command AT SELECTION-SCREEN..., again activated program and symbol remained visible...
