Search help issue

Hi everyone,

Can anyone pls let me know how to gray out a filed in the F4 help i mean search help.

We hada requirement like in iw32 tcode for main work center category we need to gray out the filed in the f4 help.

I found gogle that we can gray out only the selection screen fileds,

Can anyone pls help me out.

Hi,

just activate a flag SDis of a field in a search help (use transaction code SE11 for that).

In help for this field is written:

Display field in dialog box of an elementary search help
If this flag is set, the search help parameter appears in the selection popup window for restricting values as a pure display field.
The contents of the parameter inform the user about the restriction, but he cannot change it. This is advisable for example when the parameter is an import parameter or if it has a default value.

This should exactly meet your requirement.

Hi,

this flag is an attribute of a field in a search help.

So:

1. run transaction SE11

2. choose search help and enter search help name

3. click on change button

4. choose tab "Definition"

5. in section "Parameter", you can see and change mentioned "SDis"
