Search Help issue

Hii All,

I have attached a search help in a text box.

The text box is for GL A/c.

I have used the standard search help C_SAKNR .

But the issue is when  I select one of the record from the help the selected record does not appear in the text box.

So does anyone having idea about this?

Hi Yash,

Have you assigned the EXPORT parameters in the interface of the search help, because without the EXPORT parameter, the search help won't return any value to the text box.

In the Data Dictionary Display screen of Search help, go to the Definition tab. In that mention the parameter name and select the IMP and EXP parameters.

Hi Yash,

the field in your text box should be tied to the same data element (SAKNR) as the search help result.

If this is so and it still does not work, please give more technical details ragarding what you did.

I did the same as you suggested.

The data element is the same.

My problem is when I select any record from the search help, that selected record does not appear in the text box.

I checked the parameters of the text box. They are okay. I mean the data type of the SAKNR is CHAR and the same data type is there in the text-box.

How did you attach the search help , in dynpro definition or with POV module ?

I attached the search help in dynpro definition.

Actually I am using other standard search help in the same screen but I am facing this thing in the SAKNR search help only.

Hi Yash,

As I told you, the import parameter is not set. And as this is a standard search help, you cannot set the import parameter. For your reference I have attached a screenshot, have a look at the import parameter of SAKNR. Thus you have to manually write the name of the field value of SAKNR in the text box, or else make a search help with the same fields and data element.
