I need to run a program in the background.

Is there a specific way to run it in background.

The program is RBDAPP01.

Do i need to set up in SM36.

Thanks,

Madhu.

You can either set it up in SM36 or go to SE38, and from the menu, select EXECUTE in BACKGROUND. In both case you can track it in SM37

Hi Mandhu,

Yes, you need to create background job via SM36 to run program RBDAPP01 in background.

Also you can run from SE38 as well.

Path: SE38 -> Program: RBDAPP01 -> Execute (menu) -> Background -> Select variant -> Execute or Schedule.
