Hi All,

I am author of a Program (SE38). But now I am not able to go to

Editable mode for it now. Also on Toolbar of Se38 Editor (for this Program Only) some buttons like

Insert,Replace,Delete and cancel are coming.

How to remove this problem and how to make my Program

in Editable mode.

Please Suggest.

Rishi

Hi,

This problem is due to change in ownership of your program.., ask your basis consultant to change the program ownership back to you and you will be able to edit..,

<b>reward me if helpfull.,

Cheers,

Hi,

1. Check in SM12 transaction, if the program is locked. You can delete the lock and make the program editable.

2. If the program is not locked, then the ownership of the program might have been changed and the editor lockof the program may be set. Check in program attributes if the editor lock is checked. In this case you can contact your basis colleagues or use the steps in Note 37900 to remove the editor lock ( but this has to be done with atmost care as it changes the TADIR entries )

Best Regards,

Sarath

Let me guess... you created a program whose name did NOT start with the letter Z or Y...

If you're on an IDES system, this is possible, but customer programs, the one's that we create, not the one's that SAP delivers, must be named in the customer namespace, which is Z* or Y*...

Remember this when creating programs and you will not be shown the Modification Mode, which is what you described earlier...

For the current program, simply rename it and assign it to a different package, or even simpler, copy-paste...

Most of the suggestions provided here, such as switching off the modification assistant/deleting lock entries etc. are "Don't Try it at Home" Type activities, which SAP, and I, do not recommend.

Hope this helps
