SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN ..how can we set the value = 'X'.

on the forum yesterday I was discussing about assigning a custom layout for report VF04 , when it is run in the background .

I also posed the Q to SAP and they rerurned to me with :

Firstly you must add your own parameters 'SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN' with

a 'X' value. If You put 'A' You can only save your layout as user

specific. If you want to save a layout that can be used by all the

users and that can be used as a default layout, the

'SD_VARIANT_MAINTAIN' must be set with 'X'.

- Secondly goto the path Settings -> Layout -> Save to create your own

layout.

You can also administrate your own layout.

So , All I was looking for was A way to assign and print a Report ( VF04 which is shceduled to run in the background everyday ) with a custom layout .
