SD Pricing Question regarding Message Class V1

I am looking at Message Class V1 - and I see where a developer has added message number 901 through a Repair Transport.

Is there a range of values (ex 9xx) in Mess Class V1 that SAP permits customers to add custom messages? Or has this developer truly modified core - when they should have added this custom message into a custom Message Class?

Hi

The message 901 is in my system too, so I suppose the developer has applied some notes, SAP allows to change every message of a class or to insert a new one.

Seems to be the case - just seems odd without an identified number range.

What happens when SAP adds 901 to V1 during an upgrade or Note?

I guess we will get a Trouble Ticket from a confused user.
