Technically we don't have any Template concept in Script forms but is there in Smartforms.
When you have some fixed size of data to print you can use template; when you have dynamic size of data you can go for table.
In scripts you need to draw by using BOX command; no drag and drop.
Some ppl use the word template to mention the layout.

Templates:
A set of predefined attributes that defines the behavior of scripts.
Templates consist of two parts:
· User interface
Predefines the user interface elements that agents see when they run a script.
· Background processing
Allows a script to interact predictably with other programs. This background processing takes place:
Before agents see the script node on the screen
After agents respond to the interaction required in that script node
For example, background processing in template Person Marketing Attributes uses script responses entered by the agent to create marketing attributes in the system for the confirmed business partner.
Use
You can use templates to define node properties as you create scripts using the interactive script editor.
You must fulfill certain prerequisites to use some templates. For more information, see the list of templates below.
