Scat Error

Hi All,

i have running a SCAT in ECC 5.0 version and not able to run the Record the test case .

Error "Releases higher than 6.40 are not permitted" encounter in the process.

however , we can run effectively scat in past.

please guide , where i did wrong in the process .

In releases higher then 6.4 you can not create CATT with transaction SCAT. You should use transaction SECATT. All other relevant data you can read on help.sap.com

Hi,

I had similar issue in my CATT scripts using SCAT.

I have followed following steps. Hope it will help you.

1. Create new CATT script in SCAT. Mention TYPE as "Manual Test Case".

2. Save this script. After saving, change TYPE to CATT.

3. Save the script.

4. Go to transaction SCEM, enter your CATT script name.

5. Record the required transaction.

I'm having a problem where my CATT isn't running in the background or in error mode, but it will run in the foreground. The error message i get is that it's reading "external variants." What's this about/ how do I fix it?
