Scanning question

Hello all:

I am in the process of working on a request that deals with the ability to read billing statements via a scanner. When a customer brings their bill to a payment center, the clerk will take the bill place it in a scanner and read the information such as customer number, current amount and any late charges. I know that I device type must be set up for the scanner which is a SCAN 800 series OC Reader, but I am not sure outside of that what needs to be done.

So here are my question.

I looked on the device types for OCR, but could not find anything for SCAN Corporation. Does this use maybe a HP, Siemens or IBM device type?
