Saving variant

Hi all,

I have a mandatory field in the selection screen . Without entering a value into it , is it possible to save the variant. When I am trying to save it, it is giving error as "Fill in all required entry fields". I am working on ECC 6.0.

Please suggest me on this ...

If a field is mandatory then it required to fill the table to save the variant.

Hello,

You need to enter all the mandatory values before saving it as a variant.One of the purpose of the variant is that you can directly fill the selection criteria with the help of a variant and execute the program.

It wont allow u to save, as it is mandatory u have to enter the values before saving.

in other words:

You only can save a variant with which you as well could proceed to the next screen of your transaction.

probably you forgot to fill one field you normally fill when saving the variant.

Hi,

When a selection screen field is mandatory the system will not allow you to process further until you enter a value for the mandatory field.
