You can install the NetWeaver 7.0 Sneak Preview on your laptop. You can download from the Download section, here is a link.

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/webcontent/uuid/b2918eea-0601-0010-6284-e6cb7... [original link is broken]

Download both files and extract them into the same directory.

Did you install the system succesfully?

Is the system started, check the SAP MMC which is on your desktop, if the system green?

Ok, thats fine, you have the SAPgui, but after you extracted the download files, did you run the installation for the sneak preview system? Do you have an SAP MMC on your desktop?

Then you need to download the files from SDN and install the engine which you have clearly not done so. Download both of these files and extract, there should be documentation in one of the folders which will tell how to install.

It appears that you only have the SAPgui which is one piece of the pie.

What version of SAPgui are you running? If you are not running at least 6.40, you should upgrade your sapgui. The installation for sapgui should be in one of the folders within the extracted download
