Hi,
am about to start in a new job as the general manager for a small/midsize company in the seafood manufacturing business. They have implemented SAP five years ago, and it was now mentioned that an upgrade was necessary quite quickly. I have experience from ERP implementation, but never worked with SAP, or with an ERP upgrade. Can anyone give me some advise what to be aware of in terms of deciding when to do the upgrade and for the process of doing it?
thanks,
Diwakar

Hi,
Here is a typical upgrade project plan so you can have an idea as to what all happens in an upgrade project. These are very typical steps, but they may differ in your case due to the Hardware/OS/Database that you are currently using. Please do not assume that all upgrade projects can happen in this time itself. A SAP partner has to understand your current systems and suggest the approach and timelines.
