SAP Themes Difference

Hi All,

This may be a basic question. But I would like to know more about it. Pls share your thoughts if it's relevant!

I used Blue Crystal Theme and developed a module pool program with many containers on the screen and placed images on them. It was perfect. But when it was viewed in other person's screen,it looked completely misplaced.. the images were not in place inside the container. Later got to know that, he was using SAP Signature Theme. Then i switched to Signature theme and checked. Its working well for me and not for him..

What could be the reason? Kindly share if you know more abt this.

If you don't explain with a screenshot and technical explanations about how you build and place these "images", I don't see how people can answer...

Hi,

Pls do check whether it is because of resizing. You may want to set the resizing attributes of your container(both horizontal and vertical to a value) and observe the difference.

anabaperlife,

Kindly explain with screen shots what you mean as difference, it will help us to guide you better.

The other person may not have proper installation, probably not only this but all module pool screens would be erring for him. Please post screen shots for better information.

Regards

Thanks all for responding! Upon checking, found that the issue is in resolution.

Some people have font size as 11 and a few others are having font size as 12. Hence the resolution is not the same and causing issues.

Any suggestions on having a custom container that gets resized based on the screen resolution pls? I have checked resize vertically and horizontally options in the custom container.

Hi Satish/ Sandra/Bartosz,

Unfortunately, i couldn't share the images now. But i can explain what i did.

Created a custom container and placed an image in it using mime repository objects. Everything looks good when i see in my system but the container and image in it are truncated for a few of my colleagues. Got to know that for few of my teammates Font size of SAP signature theme is 12 and for few others, it's 11. When i view with size 11 , its working well. But when changed to 12 it's truncated.

Will it be the only reason or will the resolution change when viewed in laptop & monitor? Pls suggest on how to handle this.

I don't see the relationship between font size and image. But of course if the screen resolution is low there is less room to display an image so it will be truncated but you should have a scrollbar.

Maybe you can explain how the image is truncated. Because the only word you use to explain the symptom is "truncated", so you can understand that people can understand various possibilities of truncation. Didn't you see the screen of the user? If yes, can't you draw by hand? If no, don't you think that you should ask the user first?
