SAP System Response time - Benchmarks?

Hi Experts,

Can anyone provide me some links or contacts who can help us establish benchmarks for SAP system response times?

Particularly we would like to know what is leading practice response time for dialog transactions in Portal and SAP GUI across multiple locations. We are looking to establish what is a reasonable goal to achieve through performance testing.

Any results, benchmarks or recommendations are welcomed.
