We have a problem. We want to modify a customized Z program but SAP understands it is a standard program ¿What should we do?
Thanks in advance.

Why do you think that SAP think it is a standard program? What message do you get?

When I try to modify it, it appears in grey colour and I obtain the same initial message as If I were modifying a standard program (Nº of message : TR850).

You can also ask your basis team to change the original system of the program to the current system, if it is permissible to do so.

Hello,
Please follow the Menu Path
EDIT -> MODIFICATION OPERATIONS -> INSERT / REPLACE / DELETE LINE AREA as according to the requirement.
You can also switch off the modification assistant but is not suggested. But if this is your support landscape which is different than the development landscape you can I believe. Please consult the Basis consultant while doing so.
Hope it helps.

Jayant

we create zprograms for standard sap programs . what do you mean by sap thinks it is a standard program?

Probably the original system of the Z-program is different from the system in which you are currently working in. In that case use the modification assistant to make changes in the program.

Yes, I agree with Manoj. Please try to make changes using the Modification assistant. You are probably trying to modify the code in a different system i.e. system other than the Original System. In that case system takes the changes as Repiar and have to be done using Modification assistant.
Thanks,
Jayant.
