SAP SCRIPT & SMART FORMS

Hi all.

Can some one please tell me the difference between SAP SCRIPT & SMART FORMS.

Which one is better to implement ?

Hi Dipankar,

its better to use smart forms...as it is more advantageous than scripts..if it is required to create labels...then they cant be created in smart forms..otherwise smartforms are more efficient...as u can code inside itself...

as far as differences are concerned...

Multiple page formats are possible in SmartForms which is not the case in SAPScripts

It is possible to have a SmartForm without a main window

Routines can be written in SmartForms tool.

smart form generates function module when activated,where script doesnt,making program simpler..

SAPScript is client dependent where as Smartforms are not

SAPScript is Language dependent where as Smartforms are not.

Smartforms are easy to use than SAPScript.

Now we have Interactive Forms which is the latest one.

Try to implement Interactive Forms.

Thanks for your quick reply, but can you just explain me little about language independency.

I am quite beginner in SAP world so this is not too much clear with me.

If you starting new then go for Adobe forms. Donot touch sap script. it is decade old. smart forms and adobe forms have some similarities. I have done sap script and smart forms. Adobe seems to be much easier that sap script and smart forms. rendering and is much faster.
