SAP GUI Installation ERROR on Red Hat Linux 4

Hi,

I am trying to install SAP GUI (JAVA ) on Red Hat Linux Server 4 and getting the following error Moreover I go through the lot many thread on SDN for same problem.But still am not able to install the SAP GUI.

I think have to set CLASSPATH env. but I don't know to which JAVA directory I need set this env.

So please help me on this.

Hello,

what does the output of the command:

which java

say? Is this the right version of java?

Have you installed the Java RE 1.4.2 or 5.0?

Set the PATH variable to the right java. It seems that the system uses the gcj.

Please check your JRE version. I assuming that RHEL are using JRE from GNU (called GIJ). You can check it by typing this command on console :

#java -version

If your screen showing you GNU, then you have to replaced your JRE.

I suggest you download JRE from SUN. Download the latest one.
